Hatton is a city in Traill County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 777 at the 2010 census. Hatton was founded in 1882, and was named for Frank Hatton, then Assistant Postmaster General. Hatton is the birthplace of 20th century Arctic explorer and pilot Carl Ben Eielson.
